For over 50 years, Croley Funeral Home has been a trusted name in Williamsburg, Kentucky, known for its dedication to providing compassionate and dignified service to the families of Whitley County. Our story began with a young Paul Croley, who, at just 15 years old, discovered his calling in the funeral profession. Working alongside Evan Pennington at Pennington Funeral Home, Paul learned the importance of empathy, respect, and family-centered care. These values would later form the foundation of Croley Funeral Home.
After serving his country in World War II, Paul returned to Williamsburg, where he pursued his passion for the funeral profession and, in 1954, established Croley Funeral Home with his wife, Edna. Together, they built a family business dedicated to honoring lives, supporting families, and serving the community with integrity.
Although Paul’s life was tragically cut short, Edna continued his legacy, earning her Funeral Director’s license and leading the funeral home until their son, Jerry, graduated from mortuary school and joined the family business. Today, Jerry and his son, J. Andrew Croley, carry on the Croley family tradition as second- and third-generation funeral directors, ensuring that each family receives the same personal attention, respect, and care that Paul and Edna instilled in the funeral home’s early days.
At Croley Funeral Home, we are not just a business; we are a family, committed to serving our neighbors and honoring the lives of their loved ones. Our story is one of dedication, community, and compassion—a story that continues to unfold with each family we have the privilege to serve.
